Is my data mine?+
Yes, unambiguously. You are the custodian of your medical records, and everything in Satchel — records, documents, invoices, PDFs — is exportable. No lock-in is a feature, not a concession.
Will it work out in the field?+
Satchel is built phone-first and installs to your home screen like an app. Notes and forms autosave as drafts, so a weak signal at a farm call doesn't cost you work. A full offline mode is on the roadmap.
How do payments work?+
Card payments run through Stripe Checkout — cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay — so card data never touches Satchel. Cash, checks, and anything else you accept get recorded in the same ledger, so reports stay honest.
I already use another system. How hard is switching?+
Switching is the hardest part of any PIMS move, so we don't hand-wave it: we work through migration together with each founding practice, and you keep full exports from day one.
